History of Agribusiness Australia CEO Summits

This will be the fourth annual Agribusiness Australian CEO Summit. The summits provide an opportunity for the largest agribusiness companies in Australia to identify areas of common interest and how the industry can work together to grow the sector, and CEOs will prioritise the key issues Agribusiness Australia will work on with industry over the next 12 months. The summit is an opportunity to help shape the agenda for the agribusiness sector each year.

At last year’s March 2023 Summit, CEOs collectively identified ESG as a priority for their companies and an issue they needed to work on together.

In May of 2023 seven of those CEOs committed their organisations to participate in what became the Agribusiness Australia ESG Project.  ESG leads from each of these organisations have been working with Agribusiness Australia’s ESG Project Lead, Ian McConnel, since July 2023 to deliver the agreed project outputs of this group, with another organisation joining the project in January this year.  There is still an opportunity to join this ESG group and contribute to the project.

At this year’s Agribusiness CEO Summit, we will acknowledge the commitment and work input from these organisations, report back to the summit on the project, and seek your input as to this coming year’s agribusiness priorities for future projects.
